Rock Eisteddfod controversy
The pupils at Davidson High School decided to address the war in Iraq for their Rock Eisteddfod entry. In it they asked whether the war was "evil", whether the leaders lied to justify the war and whether too many innocent people were killed in the conflict. Some people were outraged, some thought it was excellent.

The Davidson High students are now through to the finals of the Open category. The Final will be held at the Sydney Entertainment Centre on September 9th and 10th.Channel Seven will broadcast the Eisteddfod winners in a special two part program on Sunday November 14th at Midday and 21st November at 2.30pm.
